Portuguese architecture in ArchDaily
Of the 14 buildings on the site of award-winning architecture "ArchDaily, three are Portuguese and have their origins in the Oporto region. With over two million visitors a month, "ArchDaily" allows its readers / users to choose the best building of the year. Prizes yesterday unveiled refer to the set of all projects published in this website in 2010.
Bar's Temporary FAUP

Location: City Park, Port. Project: 2008. Construction: 2008 (Burning of the Ribbons). Author: arqtos. Diogo Aguiar and Teresa Otto. Base area: 9 m². Sponsor: Association of Students of the Faculty of Architecture (AEFAUP). Specialities: Construction fast, low-budget, 420 plastic boxes from IKEA, the price of two euros, fixed on wood and metal, using the network for LED lighting.

Location: Ophelia Street Cruz da Costa, Matosinhos. Project: 2009/10. Construction: 2010. Author: arqta. Marta Costa and eng. Henrique Pinto (Consexto). Area: 44 sqm. Specifics: transformation of a space of reduced dimensions in a house quite useful and livable; flexibility of the spaces by moving pieces of furniture, electronic devices controlled by an automation system applied.
Vodafone Building
Category: Institutional Headquarters
Location: Avenida da Boavista, Porto. Project: 2006/08. Construction: 2007/09. Author: arqtos. Jose Antonio Barbosa and Pedro Lopes Guimarães. Promoter: Vodafone. Specifics: adoption of a dynamic image, conveying the sense of movement through a structural solution in concrete, design of irregular shapes based on a unique way, giving rise to a building monolith that seems to defy static.
